SEA Games 2009- Laos-Vietnam
won 5 gold medals in swimming in Vientiane and broke 4 SEA Games records. He was awarded the Most Outstanding Athlete of the 25th SEA Games. Daniel Bego won the 2007 OCM – Coca-Cola Olympian of the Year Award.
The Men’s Football Team, won the Men’s Football Gold medal after 20 years.

R. Puvaneswaran, won the gold medal in the 55kg and below category, the 5th occasion he has won a gold medal in the SEA Games.
